Our entire collection at Daffodils & Delft revolves around the preeminent earthenware manufacturer Royal Delft (De Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles), which has been producing fine earthenware in the city of Delft in the Netherlands since 1653. Royal Delft earthenware is hand painted in the tradition of the old masters of Delft. Its centuries-old hand-painting tradition has been passed down from generation to generation, and Royal Delft’s highly-skilled artists still create iconic pieces to this very day. We plan to expand our base collection periodically beginning Winter 2023.

Amitabha Studio of Amsterdam, provides us with their stunningly beautiful designer lamps created by husband and wife team, Davide and Kimberly, from upcycled antique and vintage ceramic delft vases. Each lamp is a functional work of art, is a one-of-a-kind, and is paired with a contemporary custom lampshade using only the finest material available.

Also included are exquisitely designed 100% organic Belgian table linens offered in white or natural featuring classic delft designs or seasonal collections. Each set is designed with an emphasis on 17th century art or architectural details especially for Daffodils & Delft. Our linens are ethically sustainable, inclusive, woman-owned, 180 certified for social impact, custom makers, holistic, and organic certified, aligned to SDG12, using fabrics that are 100% biodegradable, environmentally friendly, and traceable to the source. All our linen products are printed with pigmented, water-based dyes from Japanese suppliers. The linen fabric is first washed by using a stone washing technique. This technique softens the linen and prepares it for the dye. This process makes the linen much easier to work with and also enhances the dying effect creating vibrant color and fine detailing.

To compliment our hand painted porcelain ware and our water-based Japanese dyed table linens, we also offer 17th-century styled fine art prints available in an assortment of color options and sizes. Each print is reminiscent of a bygone era but with a contemporary look and feel and are masterfully done and extraordinarily beautiful. Our art prints are created by a company in Charleston, South Carolina, and are sister owned and operated. Their prints have been featured in many prominent southern magazines such as Southern Living and Gun and Garden.

In addition to our home goods, we also feature handmade Delftware-jewelry - both Delft blue and polychrome - by Lia Fletcher, an artist who lives and works in the Netherlands. Each unique piece is formed entirely by hand, by carefully filing and shaping, and simply following the curves of the shard. Lia’s collection currently includes pendants, brooches, earrings, and rings. Nothing is wasted. Lia feels that every piece, however small, is useful, and she is currently experimenting with the shards in other types of jewelry. She creates beauty from brokenness which carries a significant message of love and hope with it, as well. As each unique piece is sold, we will replace it with another one of Lia’s creations.
